John Venskus ordered to pay £410k confiscation order

John Venskus was ordered by His Honour Judge Beddoe to pay a £410,786.14 confiscation order on 22 July at Southwark Crown Court. The order was made in relation to his guilty plea, as the former Business Development Manager at Alstom Power Ltd, of conspiring to pay bribes to officials in a Lithuanian power station and to senior Lithuanian politicians in order to win two contracts worth €240 million. He was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months imprisonment on 4 May 2018.
If the order is not paid within six months he faces a default prison sentence of four years.
