Glencore group of companies

The Serious Fraud Office is investigating suspicions of bribery in the conduct of business by the Glencore group of companies, its officials, employees, agents and associated persons.

The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has charged Glencore Energy (UK) Ltd with seven counts of bribery in connection with its oil operations.

At a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, the company indicated it will plead guilty to all charges.

Sentencing will take place at Southwark Crown Court later this year, the next hearing is scheduled on Tuesday 21 June.
