Heddiw, mynychodd chwe pherson Lys Ynadon Westminster ar gyfer eu gwrandawiad cyntaf, wedi eu cyhuddo o gynllwynio i dwyllo mewn perthynas â gwerthu pedwar safle glo brig yn Ne Cymru.

Cyhuddwyd pump yng ngorsaf heddlu Bae Caerdydd ar 24 Ionawr. (Cyhoeddwyd hyn gan yr SFO ar y dyddiad hwnnw). Y pum person yw:

  • Eric Evans (67 oed) o’r Fenni, Sir Fynwy
  • Alan Whiteley (48 oed) o Ben-y-bont ar Ogwr, Morgannwg Ganoln
  • Frances Bodman (30 oed) o Ben-y-bont ar Ogwr, Morgannwg Ganol
  • Richard Walters (32 oed) o Ben-y-bont ar Ogwr, Morgannwg Ganol
  • Leighton Humphreys (38 oed) o Gaerdydd, De Morgannwg

 
Gofynnwyd i chweched person ymddangos yn y llys heddiw er mwyn ei gyhuddo. Sef:

  • Stephen Davies QC (52 oed) o Fryste

Bydd yr achos yn cael ei drosglwyddo i Lys y Goron Southwark dros dro ar 5 Ebrill 2013.

Honnir bod y diffynyddion wedi cynllwynio i dwyllo Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Castell Nedd Port Talbot, Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, Cyngor Sir Powys a’r Awdurdod Glo drwy effeithio’n fwriadol ar eu gallu i orfodi rhwymedigaethau yn effeithiol i adfer safleoedd glo brig fel cefn gwlad agored a/neu ar gyfer ddefnydd amaethyddol. Gweithredwyd y safleoedd gan Celtic Energy Limited o Gaerffili.
