The SFO receives from time to time requests by individuals and organisations, who wish to visit the SFO to gain an overview of how we work, learn best practices and meet with some of our staff.
Our decisions about whether we are able to accommodate such requests are based on our caseload, the purpose and benefit of the visit, the numbers wishing to attend and the availability of our staff.
Our Policy aims to ensure that we make the best and most effective use of our limited resources.
Requests process
We ask potential visitors to provide us with details of:
- the purpose and context of the visit
- who will be attending
- background to the visitors
We also require as much notice as possible to organise any visit and to help us prepare - for example, secure diary space, create presentations. We will make every effort to fulfil a commitment we have given but there may be circumstances when we have to withdraw our offer.
It may also, in some circumstances be necessary to carry out enquiries into individuals, organisations wishing to visit the SFO - for example, enquiries may need to be made with an overseas Embassy.
